E. Courtney Scott is the founder of Kontent Incubator, a search firm that helps amateur athletes cross over into the professional world. He has over 15 years of experience in sports administration and has worked with the Orange Bowl Committee and the American Basketball League.

WE: What drew you to Winning Edge in the beginning?

Courtney: What drew me in to the WE was wanting to see African/Black students have the opportunity to win in the field of sports administration.

WE: How did you become part of the Advisory Committee?

Courtney: I became a part of the WE committee by listening and learning from Will Baggett and Kelly Brooks.

WE: Why is diversity important to you?

Courtney: Having Black people apart of sports business outside of competing on the field who understand and will speak up for the culture only makes sense.

WE: What's the most meaningful or memorable part of your career?

Courtney: The most meaningful part of my career is starting my firm (Kontent Incubator).

WE: What's one tip you'd give to a company considering Gigs for Game Changers?

Courtney: One tip that I would give a company considering Gigs for Game Changers is that the students you’re considering for employment are the most intelligent, competent and well versed people you will find anywhere on earth.
