Dream Team: RaShaun Brown
RaShaun Brown is a Senior Account Executive at 12th Man Foundation, an organization that supports Texas A&M University’s athletics. He is also the founder of College Emoji Inc, where they create digital content to connect and engage passionate college sports fans.
WE: What drew you to Winning Edge in the beginning?
RaShaun: I believe in what Winning Edge is about and the work the organization is doing. I wanted to be a part of that and help make an impact.
WE: How did you become part of the Fundraising Committee?
RaShaun: A close friend and former colleague recommended me for the committee. I learned more about WE and joining was a no -brainer.
WE: Why is diversity important to you?
RaShaun: Diversity is important to me because throughout my career I've looked around and do not see many people that look like me. I have been an advocate for diversity in sports, starting back at Ohio University where I founded the Association of Multicutural Sports Professionals and was chair of the diversity committee in the Ohio Sports Administration graduate program.
WE: What's the most meaningful or memorable part of your career?
RaShaun: Building authentic relationships with my donors and being able to give back and support younger sports professionals that are looking to get into the industry.
WE: Tell us about your favorite memory with Winning Edge.
RaShaun: Thus far, meeting like-minded and passionate individuals that are too working towards a purpose.
