Shannon Joyner, Atlanta falcons
Director of marketing

Shannon Joyner is the Director of Marketing for the Atlanta Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In this role, Shannon and his team oversee all brand, marketing, advertising and community fan engagement initiatives for the team and the stadium. Shannon, an Atlanta native, is a graduate of Morehouse College and Harvard Business School. Before the Falcons, he previously worked with the National Basketball Association and Nike. During his time at the NBA, Shannon worked in the Global Marketing Partnerships group, where he managed the league’s marketing relationships with several global companies, including Nike, American Express, 2K Sports and many others. At Nike, he held several roles in the Global Brand group, including Nike Women global brand marketing, global brand innovation and integrated retail marketing. Shannon also had the opportunity to work at Nike’s European Headquarters in Amsterdam, where he worked on Nike’s European soccer marketing team in preparation for UEFA Euro 2016. Shannon is very passionate about exposing and supporting career opportunities in sports, specifically for underrepresented minorities.
