georgia state athletics
graduate assistant (Student-athlete development)
I currently serve as a graduate assistant at Georgia State University in Student-Athlete Development. I am a former student-athlete of Georgia State who entered the program as a Junior College transfer from College of The Canyons. My collegiate journey is the epitome of resiliency; I embraced adversity and never lost sight of my goals. As I transitioned from Canyons I began to take personal accountability for my academic career the same as I did athletics. I noticed there was a lack of genuine support for a lot of my teammates and I found my calling in student-athlete development from there. I work in athletics because I’m passionate about helping ALL student-athletes succeed outside of their sport. I believe in this work, I am this work, and I aim to encourage student-athletes to prepare for their lives beyond the game.
